Are you trying to organize a grown-up Halloween Bash that will be talked about months after your special event? Then look no further than these tips and ideas we’ve compiled for you. From spooky décor and crafts to heavenly pumpkin pie recipes, you’re guests are guaranteed to have fun (sans the little ghouls).
1) Invitations: Halloween is one of the most popular holidays of the year. So make sure everyone will attend your party by sending out invites well in advance. Clearly state any instructions about themes or costumes.
1) Décor: First decide if you want to go cute or creepy and if you want to decorate both the inside and outside or just one or the other. Then check out this Halloween Party Decorating Guide from Country Living (http://bit.ly/c6Y6A7). We recommend the candy cone decorations, the pumpkin greeting, candy corn candles, and Halloween entrance.
2) Desserts: Be festive and serve your guests pumpkin pie! We love the Traditional Pumpkin Pie recipe from Martha Stewart (http://bit.ly/9z8Ysl). If you don’t think you’ll be able to pull off making a pumpkin pie recipe from scratch (and we don’t recommend trying out new recipes without a trial run) make some pumpkin spice cupcakes instead.
3) Party Favors: Don’t let your guests leave empty handed. Make some party favor bags filled with Halloween candy and treats!

Last month, a 90 year old man in Massachusetts posted a flyer on the wall of a Kwik-e-mart asking for people to attend his birthday party. A passerby decided to anonymously post the information online and hundreds of people sent cards to the man (and a few even attended his party!). Later, the birthday boy, William Lashua said “You are everything good in the world. This is even better than any other birthday than I’ve ever had. Thanks for the love.” Mr. Lashua had a birthday he will never forget thanks to a few strangers sending him greetings!

Alana and I couldn’t imagine our lives without our extraordinary dog Brady. It might sound cliché, but Brady really is a “man’s best friend”. If you’re looking to get a friendly, loyal, and fantastic companion, look no further than a dog. I figured this month – Adopt a Shelter Dog Month – would be the best time to give you more information on getting a dog.
There are many different options to choose from when thinking of getting a pet and animal shelters are a great resource! So head on over to your local animal shelter and give a dog (or cat) a warm and loving home.
For more information on adopting an animal, take a look at this guide from The Humane Society: http://bit.ly/9S93Ii
There’s nothing we love more at Love & Luck than bizarre and unique Holidays. We just found out today is “Do Something Nice Day” and of course we want to celebrate! Over at the Love & Luck shop, we plan on sending our loved ones greetings to show how much we care about them even if we forget to show it. Take your affection up a notch, and send a card with a handwritten note. Tell your friends and family why they are important to you with a little love, and with any luck they will return the favor someday!

Fall is the perfect season for entertaining and throwing parties. It’s finally getting cooler, leaves are changing color, and it just feels cozier. It’s time to enjoy the season with your friends and family and what better way than to have a party? Whether you’re celebrating a birthday, a wedding, or just the change of seasons, we have some helpful party tips just for you:
1) Get inspired by your surroundings: Fall parties are a great way to get inspired by nature’s leaves (reds, oranges, and yellows), pumpkins, apples, and even candy corn. Host a pumpkin-themed party or just a party with yellow, red, and orange décor.
2) Specialty Drink: Every party needs a special drink created just for that special day. For a fall party, we recommend having pumpkin-themed cocktails. Though it isn’t a pumpkin, per se, a Blood Orange Martini would do the trick here. Just garnish your cocktail with a slice of pumpkin on the side of the glass or as a floater.
3) Take it Outside: Just because the weather is cooler, it doesn’t mean you can’t host a party in your backyard. Enjoy the brisk fall weather and invite your friends and family over for a party outside. If possible – you can even set up an outdoor fire and roast s’mores for dessert!
4) Invitations: Don’t forget to send out invitations to your guests to make sure their calendars will be cleared for the day!
5) Minimize Stress: When deciding what foods to serve, try dishes that you can prepare ahead of time. Also, if you plan to try out any new recipes, give it a trial run a few weeks before the party so you know exactly how much time the recipe needs to cook and if it tastes right.
6) Key to Success: Plan ahead, be organized, be realistic, and most of all – have fun!

To us, there’s nothing better than outfitting our little cowboy, Aaron, in a little Love & Luck. With our collection of baby t-shirts and snapsuits, even the smallest members of the family can show off their personality. The modern and sophisticated designs mirror the clever craftsmanship and sweet sense of humor featured in Love & Luck Greetings’ stationary line.
